A man has died after getting into difficulty while swimming in Dún Laoghaire in Dublin.
The alarm was raised at 12.30pm this afternoon and the Coast Guard responded at the scene.
It is understood there were high waves at the time.
The man was rescued from the water, but was pronounced dead later at St Vincent's Hospital.
