Three people have been arrested in relation to a shooting that occurred in Dublin last month.

A man in his 40s was injured in the shooting near a shopping centre in Dublin 15 on Tuesday 26 August.

The incident happened at the Corduff Shopping Centre at Blackcourt Avenue.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment of injuries that gardaí described at the time as "non-life threatening".

This morning, gardaí said a woman in her 50s, a man in his 20s, and a man in his late teens were arrested on Wednesday.

The arrests took place during garda searches in the Blanchardstown area of Dublin.

The woman is currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939, and the two men are currently detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
