Two men have been charged in connection with the seizure of almost €1 million in cocaine at Dublin Port.

The men, aged in their 20s and 30s, were arrested after the drugs were found on Monday.

Revenue officers made the discovery when they searched a car that had disembarked a ferry.

The 14kg of cocaine has an estimated value of €980,000.

The Revenue Commissioners said the seizure was the result of an intelligence-led operation.
