A man has died after falling from a height onto a platform at Dún Laoghaire DART station in Dublin.
The incident, which happened around 1.50pm, caused a delay at the station on Crofton Road.
In a statement, Iarnród Éireann said: "Staff at Dún Laoghaire Station reported a member of the public had fallen from a height from the public footpath on Crofton Road onto the northbound platform at Dún Laoghaire DART Station.
"The emergency services were immediately alerted, and trains suspended through the station, with the relevant area of platform cordoned off.
"Tragically, despite efforts of station staff and emergency services personnel, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Our deepest sympathies are with the loved ones of the deceased."
The area was sealed off and gardaí said they were assisting at the "medical incident".
