Teenage cyclist critical after Clondalkin road collision

A teenager is in a critical condition following a road collision in Dublin last night.

Emergency services were called after a cyclist was struck by a car at the R113, Fonthill in Clondalkin at around 11.40pm.

The cyclist, who is in his late teens, is in a critical condition in Beaumont Hospital.

The road has been closed for a technical examination and diversions are in place on Fonthill Road South, between the junctions with Cherrywood Avenue and St John's Road.

No other injuries were reported following the collision.
