The Howth unit of the Irish Coast Guard responded to several incidents in recent days including a fall from the cliffs.
It said Thursday was one of the busiest days on record when it was called to six incidents along the coast of north Dublin.
It is highlighting the risks along the coastline as the good weather attracts more people to areas by the sea.
The Coast Guard advises people to call first for assistance when they see someone in difficulty to prevent a situation where they could put themselves in danger also.
Fergus Cooney from the Irish Coast Guard said in one of the incidents two days ago on the cliffs at Howth a person had "a significant fall" and a friend went down to help them and fell into the water.
They said fortunately there was a good outcome in this case with both people brought to safety by the Coast Guard, Rescue 116 and the RNLI. He said if anyone sees someone in trouble, they should make the call for assistance by calling 999 or 112.
"The Coast Guard have fantastic resources, and we have a great group of partners but really the best partner we have is the public who are out. They are the eyes and ears on the beaches and on the cliff paths around the country."
"Time is really of the essence and if somebody is in trouble we will get there as quickly as we can," he said.
In Sutton on Thursday two people required medical assistance on the beach in separate incidents and both were brought to hospital.
