A married couple who were killed while crossing a road in Dublin last Christmas died as a result of multiple traumatic injuries, an inquest has heard.
Anthony (Anto) Hogg, who was 39, and 38-year-old Georgina Hogg Moore, from Whitestown Avenue in Blanchardstown, were struck by a vehicle after shopping in the Blanchardstown Centre on Saint Stephen's Day.
The couple, who had two children, were on their way home from the post-Christmas sales when the incident happened on Blanchardstown Road North at around 5.45pm on 26 December 2024.
Ms Hogg Moore was pronounced dead while her husband died a short time later at Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown.
A number of other pedestrians were also involved, but they were not injured.

At a sitting of Dublin District Coroner’s Court, Katie Moore, a sister of Ms Hogg-Moore, gave evidence of formally identifying her body at Dublin City Mortuary in Whitehall.
A sister of Mr Hogg, Jennifer Hogg, also testified how she had identified her brother’s body at Connolly Hospital.
Detective Inspector Jim McDermott applied for an adjournment under the Coroners Act as criminal proceedings have been initiated in the case.
A neighbour of the deceased, 45-year-old John Halpin, of Whitestown Avenue in Blanchardstown, was charged at a sitting of Dublin District Court on 30 December 2024 in connection with the deaths.
Mourners at their funeral heard that the couple left behind a legacy of love.
Coroner Dr Clare Keane said that post-mortem results showed that they had died as a result of multiple traumatic injuries due to a road traffic collision.
Offering her condolences to relatives of Mr Hogg and Ms Hogg-Moore, Dr Keane granted the application and adjourned the inquests to a date to be fixed after the conclusion of the criminal proceedings.
