A man in his 30s was seriously injured in a fire at an apartment block in north Dublin last night.
Gardaí assisted emergency services at the scene of a fire at an apartment in Temple Court in Santry.
The building was evacuated and the fire was subsequently extinguished by local fire services.
The injured man was brought to Beaumont Hospital for treatment for what gardaí said were "serious injuries."
No other injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
The scene remains preserved for forensic examination.
Seven fire engines were dispatched to the scene which included a turntable ladder.
