Three men have been arrested and more than €180,000 worth of drugs seized as part of an operation targeting organised crime in north Dublin.
In a major operation, more than 150 gardaí searched 39 properties under warrant, including houses and homes on Traveller halting sites.
Gardaí were supported by the specialist units including the National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Economic Crime, the Dog Unit, armed support and the Public Order Unit.
Cannabis worth approximately €160,000, around €22,000 in cocaine, three vehicles and a number of weapons were seized by gardaí.
Over €160,000 worth of designer watches and other luxury goods as well as industrial power tools to the value of €30,000 were also seized.
Gardaí attached to the Social Welfare Investigation Unit identified a significant number of suspected fraudulent claims during the operation which are now subject to assessment, they said.
Gardaí have for some time been investigating the activities of a number of gangs involved in serious organised crime across the country.
The gangs are suspected of drug dealing, burglary, stealing cars, counterfeiting, theft and other property crimes.
The raids follow a series of violent incidents in the north Dublin area, including attacks, gun crime and an incident where a car was driven into the door of a pub.
