Drugs, cash e-scooters and motorbikes were among a number of items seized during searches at 24 properties in north Dublin yesterday.

Gardaí carried out the searches as part of Operation Meacán, which targets the use of different types of vehicles, including electric motorbikes, e-scooters and e-bikes, being used in criminal activity.

They are often driven on footpaths, parks and laneways to avoid detection, according to gardaí.

Gardai believe this motorbike was stolen in October

During yesterday's 'Day of Action', one motorbike, which gardaí believe was stolen in October, six high-power electric motorbikes, six e-bikes and 20 e-scooters were seized.

The vehicles range in value from €200 to €10,000.

The vehicles are used on footpaths and in parks to avoid detection

Also seized were 19 shotgun cartridges, around 9,000 worth of designer goods, €3,410 in cash and drugs valued at €575.

Cash and designer goods were among the items seized

The shotgun cartridges have been sent for ballistic and forensic analysis.

No arrests were made and investigations are ongoing.
