Watch: Carol service celebrates Santa's little yelpers

Dogs of all sizes have been getting into the festive spirit at the annual Peata Therapy Dog Carol Service at Christ Church Cathedral in Dublin.

The service included a blessing of the dogs in thanksgiving for the gifts animals bring to their owners and those who benefit from the charity's services.

"There is a little bit of barking and for the high-pitched carols sometimes they're inclined to join in and do a little howling as well," said Peata's chairperson, Dr Margo Wrigley.

It is the largest fundraiser of the year for the charity whose volunteers organise therapy dog visits to nursing homes, care facilities and hospitals.
