A man in his 50s has died after being struck by a lorry in Dublin city this afternoon.
The incident took place at the junction of Arran Quay and Church Street not long after 3pm.
The road is currently closed and traffic diversions are in place, as Garda Forensic Collision Investigators conduct a technical examination of the scene.
Gardaí say that the local coroner has been notified and arrangements will be made for a post-mortem examination.
Gardaí at Bridewell Garda Station are appealing for witnesses, saying that anyone with information should contact them on 01 666 8200.
