The Mater Hospital in Dublin has confirmed that an IT systems issue, which affected access to electronic patient records for a number of days this week, has been fixed.
In a statement, it said that all patient services are operating as normal.
A small number of surgical cases scheduled this week were deferred due to the issue, the hospital added, and it is liaising with affected patients to reschedule these procedures in the coming days.
The Mater's Rapid Injury Clinic in Smithfield will reopen for patients at 8am tomorrow.
The hospital said the cause of the IT problem is under investigation, but it is not thought to have been the result of any malicious attack.
It also said that it is working with its funders to replace the electronic patient records system with a more modern one.
The hospital apologised for any inconvenience caused to patients this week.
