Drugs worth an estimated €145,000 and retail goods, including Yves Saint Laurent handbags and Adidas Samba runners, with a value of about €388,000 have been seized by Revenue officers in Dublin.

Over the course of last week, officers examined parcels at a premises in Dublin and seized over seven kilogrammes of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of almost €142,000.

Various quantities of other drugs worth more than €3,300 were also found during numerous operations with the help of detector dog Grace.

The drugs were found in parcels originating from the UK, Spain, the USA, Canada, Thailand and India, and were intended for addresses nationwide.

Retail goods, including electrical goods and luxury clothing with an estimated value of about €388,000, were also seized.

Investigations into all seizures are ongoing.
