Female cyclist dies after being struck by truck in Dublin

A cyclist has died after she was struck by a truck in Dún Laoghaire in Dublin this morning.

Gardaí say it happened at the junction of Glenageary Road Upper, Mountown Road Lower and Kill Avenue at around 8am.

The cyclist, a woman in her 20s, was taken to St Vincent's Hospital where she died from her injuries.

A technical examination of the scene is being carried out and traffic diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for assistance, including from road users who were in the area at the time and have camera footage.
