Appeal issued by gardaí in connection with Condalkin assault

Gardaí have said that they want to speak to a man who presented himself to Clondalkin Garda Station around 15 minutes after a serious assault in the west Dublin suburb during the weekend.

Two men were injured in attack in the Grange View Way area of Clondalkin at around 10.15pm on Saturday.

One of the injured men, who is aged in his 30s, remains in a critical condition in Tallaght hospital.

No arrests have yet been made.

Gardaí have said that they "wish to speak to a young male who presented himself at Clondalkin Garda Station on the 30th March 2024 at approximately 10:30pm".

They also renewed their appeal for all witnesses or anyone with any information about the assault to contact them.

In particular, gardaí would like anyone in the Tower Road area of Clondalkin between 9.30pm to 10.15pm, anyone who traveled on the number 13 bus between Clondalkin and Bawnogue between 9.45pm and 10.15pm and also anyone who was in the Grange View Way area of Clondalkin between 10pm and 10.30pm to contact them.

They have also asked road users who may have camera footage of the incident, including dash-cam footage, to make it available to them.
