Hundreds of people gathered at the Spire on Dublin's O'Connell Street to call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
The rally was organised by the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign, as part of a series of protests across Ireland since the beginning of Israel's bombardment of Gaza over two months ago.
The march continued to the US Embassy in Ballsbridge, where the protesters called for the cessation of US support for Israel.
The US used a veto to defeat a motion calling for humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza during a UN Security Council vote on 8 December.
The protesters also called for the Government to take further action in condemning the actions of Israel, such as cutting diplomatic ties with the country.
Speaking at the protest, People Before Profit TD Richard Boyd Barrett, said that sanctions should be placed on Israel by European countries.
He said the march organisers wanted to "put as much pressure as possible on our own government, on European governments and Western governments generally ... we are calling for them to sanction Israel to stop this genocide".
