A protest at Leinister House in Dublin has concluded but barriers remain in place in the area and traffic disruption continues.
Earlier, roads were closed by gardaí as anti-immigrant protesters gathered for the demonstration.
Kildare and Molesworth Streets were shut and there was a significant garda presence as well as a helicopter hovering over the area.
Some protesters carrying banners referencing Ireland were allowed to move closer to Leinster House by gardaí monitoring the demonstration.
One of the protesters said they were highlighting issues regarding decisions being made in Ireland without adequate consultation of communities.
He said this involved immigration and environmental regulations.
Gardaí searched protesters before letting them close to Leinster House.
Enhanced security and barriers were also put in place around Government Buildings on Upper Merrion Street.
TDs, senators, staff and journalists were advised by Oireachtas authorities not to drive to Leinster House.
The enhanced security came after a controversial lockdown of Leinster House on 20 September during an aggressive protest when TDs were subject to verbal abuse and protesters brought a mock gallows to the demonstration.
