A 20-year-old Dublin man has appeared before Dublin District Court charged with assault causing serious harm to another man who was injured following an incident in a car in Swords on Thursday night.
Brandon Gavin, from Brookdale Road in Swords, was remanded in custody with consent to bail on condition he sign on three times a week at Swords Garda station, stay in touch with the gardaí and have no contact with the injured party.
The 19-year-old victim remains in a critical condition at Beaumont Hospital.
The accused must also provide an independent surety of €50,000.
He will appear again in court on 1 March.
Judge Bryan Smyth heard the injured man in this case was in a critical condition, having suffered a wound to his neck.
