A man and two teenage boys have been arrested following the theft of a vehicle and dangerous driving in Dublin early this morning.
Gardaí on patrol signalled for a car to stop on the Dundrum Bypass at about 2am, but it failed to stop.
Officers then pursued the vehicle, which was observed driving at speed and in a dangerous manner.
A managed containment operation took place and a stinger device was successfully deployed on Edmondstown Road, bringing the vehicle to a stop.
The car had been stolen in south county Dublin yesterday.
Two teenage juveniles and a man in his 20s were arrested and taken to Dundrum Garda Station.
The teenagers were released pending a referral to the Garda Youth Diversion Programme, while the man in his 20s was charged and appeared before Dún Laoghaire District Court this morning.
