A man has been left with serious injuries following an assault by a number of other men in Dublin city last night.
The incident took place in Temple Bar at around 9.50pm. It is believed to have started in a fast-food outlet in Temple Bar Square, before moving to the Fownes Street areas between 9.30pm and 10pm.
A man in his 40s was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to St James' Hospital. His injures are not thought to be life-threatening.
