A man in his 20s is in a critical condition following an assault in Dublin on Sunday evening.
It is understood that a group of people were involved in an incident, which occurred at a Luas stop in George's Dock before 9pm.
The man received serious head injuries and was taken to the Mater Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
A technical examination of the scene was carried out by gardaí.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone witnesses, particularly anyone who was in George's Dock and the surrounding areas between 7pm and 9.30pm on Sunday, to contact Store Street Garda Station on 016668000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
