Two people have been arrested after a suspected firearm was seized in Dublin city centre yesterday.
Gardai on patrol in Townsend Street stopped and searched a man and woman, both in their 30s, after observing "unusual activity".
The firearm and a quantity of drugs were seized.
Both the man and woman were taken to Kevin Street Garda Station, where the woman was later charged.
The man remains in custody.
