A man in his 30s has died following a workplace incident at a facility operated by Beauparc in Dublin.

It happened on the Cappagh Road in Finglas at around 8:20pm yesterday evening.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

His body was been taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown where a post-mortem will take place at a later date.

Gardaí are investigating and say a file will be prepared for the Coroner's Court.

The Health and Safety Authority says it has been notified of the incident and has launched an investigation.

In a statement, Beauparc said it is co-operating with all relevant authorities.

"It is with deep regret that Beauparc can confirm that a workplace incident occurred last night at our facility on Cappagh Road, which resulted in the death of one of our employees," the company said.

"We are liaising with the family of the bereaved and his co-workers to provide the necessary supports at this very difficult time," the statement added.
