Almost 3.5 million cigarettes have been seized by Revenue at Dublin Port.
The smuggled cigarettes were discovered hidden in ten large metal boxes inside timber frames.
They were branded 'Winston' have an estimated retail value of €2,415,000, which Revenue says represents a potential loss to the Exchequer of €1,890,600.
The cigarettes were on a trailer that arrived from Rotterdam yesterday.
Investigations are ongoing.
