An 18-year-old Dubliner has said it is "a dream come true" to land a leading role in a British pantomime production of Cinderella.
Cuan Durkin was discovered by producers in the UK after he was filmed busking on Grafton Street in Dublin earlier this year.
A student of the Royal Irish Academy of Music, he has been performing since he was a child.
Videos featuring him and Allie Sherlock busking on Grafton St have gone viral - with one getting over 15 million views online.
He was contacted on Instagram by a British panto production team - PantoLive.com - who asked him to play Prince Charming in its production of Cinderella.
Mr Durkin says that he was blown away by the news and he is so grateful to get the opportunity - especially during Covid-19 when a lot of people are out of work.
He says he is an 18-year-old who has been given a job to do which is a dream come true.
The Director of the production said he was bought to their attention by one of their co-producers, who came across footage of him online.
He says the production team were bowled over by his singing. They thought he also looked the part and managed to track him down.
Mr Durkin is due to fly over to England in early December, where the whole cast will be living together in one bubble, so they can perform together for the online interactive pantomine production.
He says he has always had an interest in acting as well as singing and says he hopes to be able to do it justice.
However, before he heads to the UK he is planning to sit his Leaving Cert in November.
