A man has died following a road crash in Dublin.
He was the driver of a car that crashed on Lad Lane in the city at around 10.45am this morning.
The man was taken to St Vincent's University Hospital by ambulance where he was later pronounced dead.
There was no other vehicle involved.
A forensic examination of the scene is under way and the road remains closed with local diversions in place.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to contact them and for any road users who may have camera footage to make it available to them.
