Three men have been arrested after a woman was hit by a car and died following a robbery in Dublin earlier this month.

Jacqueline McGovern, 54, was one of two women who were struck by the car being used as a getaway vehicle when it mounted the footpath in Killiney on the night of 10 March.

Three raiders abandoned the car at the junction of Ballinclea and Avondale roads and fled the scene on foot.

They had earlier carried out an armed robbery at the Centra shop on Barnhill Road in Dalkey.

Ms McGovern was from the area and worked as a special needs assistant at Our Lady of Good Counsel Girls National School in Johnstown.

The second woman's injuries were not life-threatening.

Three men aged in their 20s were arrested today and are being detained at Dundrum and Dún Laoghaire garda stations.
