A woman in her 30s has died following a road crash in Raheny, Co Dublin this evening.
The woman - a pedestrian - was struck by a van after it mounted the path and travelled a short distance along the James Larkin Road shortly after 7pm.
She was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.
The male driver of the van was uninjured in the incident, and no other people are believed to have been injured.
The woman's body has been removed from the scene and taken to the mortuary at Connolly Hospital, where a post-mortem will take place.
The crash site has been preserved while gardaí carry out a forensic examination. The cycle pathway remains closed.
Gardaí have appealed for any road users with camera footage who were travelling on the road between 6.45pm and 7.30pm to contact Raheny Garda Station on 01 6664300.
