A boy in his mid-teens is being treated in hospital after being stabbed at a Luas stop in Leopardstown in Dublin last night.

His injuries are described as not life-threatening.

The incident happened at the Glencairn Luas stop at around 10pm.

It is understood the teenager was approached by a group of males and was stabbed during an altercation.

The victim was taken to St Vincent's Hospital.

No arrests have been made.

Gardaí have appealed to witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
