Three people have been arrested as part of the investigation into the murder of convicted criminal Wayne Whelan in Lucan last month.
Gardaí say two males and a female being held at Dublin garda stations.
Whelan, 42, and from west Dublin, was shot dead before the car he was in was set on fire at Mount Andrew Rise on 18 November.
He was identified through DNA.
