Gardaí are investigating an assault outside a school in north Dublin in which a car drove into a group of people, dragging one man a short distance.
Members of the Indian community were standing on a footpath after dropping their children to the Mother of Divine Grace School in Finglas when a car approached at 9.40am yesterday.
Footage of the incident shows the car going up on the footpath towards the group.
It struck a man in his 40s and carried him for a short distance.
The man was taken to the Mater Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.
Gardaí say a vehicle has been seized for a technical examination and CCTV footage is being examined.
One man, who managed to avoid the car in the incident, said the people in the vehicle had shouted racist abuse at the group before the incident happened.
