Irish Rail has issued an appeal for the owner of a dog that travelled into Dublin city centre by DART today to come forward.

In a tweet Irish Rail said the four legged customer boarded the DART at a southside station this morning and got off at Pearse Street station.

The dog has been taken to Ashtown Dog Pound to be cared for until the owner comes forward.
