A 20-year-old man arrested after armed gardaí rescued a child from the boot of a car in Finglas is due in court court charged with road traffic offences.
The 14-year-old boy was taken safely from the vehicle in Kippure Park after gardaí pursued a car being driven erratically in the area.
The boy had been abducted a short time earlier by a gang of men on nearby Hazelcroft Road.
The car was abandoned and four men ran from the scene but the driver, a 20-year old man, was arrested.
The man was questioned at Finglas Garda Station and is due at Blanchardstown District Court.
A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions in relation to further offences.
Gardaí are searching for three other men and are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
Armed patrols have been increased in the Finglas and Blanchardstown areas because of an ongoing feud.
