A cyclist has been hospitalised with non-life threatening injuries after he was hit by a car and assaulted in north Dublin.
The incident happened on Swans Nest Road in Kilbarrack at around 10.30am.
The 39-year-old man was struck by a black saloon car.
A number of men got out of the car and assaulted the man with weapons. It is not known what type of weapon was used.
The men left the scene in the car.
The injured man was taken to Beaumont Hospital.
Gardaí have appealed for anyone with information about the incident to contact Raheny Garda Station.
