The development of a new train station on the Maynooth commuter line in west Dublin has been welcomed by a group representing businesses in the capital.
The station at Pelletstown will be located between the existing Ashtown and Broombridge stations on the line.
Planning permission was granted for the station on Royal Canal Avenue in 2014.
Dublin Chamber has welcomed the news, saying it is important to serve the fast-growing Ashtown suburb.
Graeme McQueen said the new station would "provide a dual boost" by providing access to the Maynooth commuter line and also the extended Green Luas line at Broombridge.
