A teenager has been arrested and charged in connection with a series of attempted armed robberies in the Clondalkin area of Dublin.

The 18-year-old man was arrested by gardaí investigating the three robberies, which took place on subsequent nights.

A woman in her 30s received non-life threatening stab wounds during an attempted robbery at Mill Park on the Old Nangor Road at around 10pm on 30 March 2018.

Gardaí were also investigating an attempted armed robbery at a food premises on the Old Nangor Road at around 10pm on Saturday 31 March and an armed robbery at a premises on Ninth Lock Road, Clondalkin at around 10pm on Sunday 1 April.

The man has been charged with assault causing harm and three counts of attempted robbery.

He appeared at the Criminal Courts of Justice and is being held at Cloverhill Prison.
