The body of a 22-year-old man, who had a head injury, has been found in Ranelagh in Dublin.

His body was found at a Luas stop on Ranelagh Road shortly after 4.30am this morning.

He was taken by ambulance to St James's Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The scene is preserved for technical examination and the coroner has been notified.

Gardaí are reviewing CCTV images of the area.
