An Army Bomb Disposal Team has made safe a suspicious device that was brought to Finglas Garda Station.
Earlier today, a member of the public arrived at the station carrying the device which he found near his home.
The Defence Forces sent the Army Bomb Disposal Team to the station, where the device was removed for further examination.
The building was evacuated as a precaution, and local traffic diversions were in place.
The cordon and traffic diversions have now been lifted and Finglas Garda Station has reopened to the public.
