A number of units from Dublin Fire Brigade are tackling a gorse fire at Ticknock in the Sandyford area.
The blaze at Lambs Cross was reported at around 7pm.
Five fire engines and a water tanker are at the scene.
The fire service are also using an aerial drone in order to direct their efforts.
Residents are advised to shut their windows and doors if they are affected by smoke from the fire.
