30,000 take part in Dublin women's mini marathon

At least 30,000 people participated in the VHI women's mini marathon in Dublin this afternoon.

The 10km event began at Fitzwilliam Street Upper with the finish line on Upper Baggot Street.

Ann-Marie McGlynn from Tyrone won the race, coming in in 33 minutes 55 seconds.

Some road closures are still in place in the centre and south of the city and Dublin Bus has diversions on a number of routes. 

Women’s Mini Marathon road closures:

7am to 6pm

8am to 6pm

  • Fitzwilliam Street Lower
  • Pembroke Street Upper & Lower
  • Merrion Square East
  • Merrion Square South
