Five people, including two juveniles, have been arrested and €70,000 in cash seized as part of an investigation into organised crime.

Three men in their 20s and 30s, along with the two juveniles, were arrested during a operation in the Rathcoole area of west Dublin yesterday.

They are being held at Ballyfermot and Clondalkin garda stations on suspicion of being involved in money laundering.

Assistant Commissioner John O'Driscoll said Operation Thor continues to target organised crime groups suspected of being involved in burglaries.
