Gardaí have arrested two men following a number of burglaries in Cork in the early hours of yesterday morning.
A total of five residences in the city were burgled between 12.30am and 5am, with cash and belongings stolen.
Two men gained access to one of the properties by purporting to be members of the gardaí.
One of the men being held at Togher Garda Station is aged in his 40s and the other is in his 20s.
They are being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
