Two men have been arrested in Dublin in relation to a bomb that was placed under a serving police officer's car in Belfast in June.
Officers from the Special Detective Unit made the arrests this morning.
The men, who are both in their 40s, are being questioned at a Dublin garda station.
The improvised device was found under the PSNI officer's car at Shandon Park Golf Club on 1 June.
A tournament, which was being held at the golf club, was cancelled and around 70 people were evacuated.
PSNI Detective Superintendent Sean Wright said the arrests "should send a clear message to those involved in terrorist activity that the border does not provide an escape route".
In June, Supt Wright said that police believed dissident republicans were behind the "attempted murder".
