Two men have been arrested after gardaí in Dublin seized drugs worth an estimated €2.8million.

The men, aged 25 and 30, were arrested after gardaí stopped and searched two cars in Drumcondra this morning.

They are being held at Finglas Garda Station. Gardaí also recovered 5kg of cannabis during the operation.

In a follow-up search in Drumcondra, gardaí recovered what they described as "a significant amount" of cocaine, heroin, cannabis and ecstasy tablets.
