15 men and one woman, ranging between 18 and 66 years of age, and with addresses in Dublin, Carlow, Galway and Laois, have appeared before Dublin District Court on public order charges in connection with disturbances at Saggart in County Dublin.
Roberto Iafrate, aged 35, with an address of Slade Castle Court, Saggart, was charged with violent disorder, after gardaí objected to bail.
Garda Shane O'Brien of Clondalkin Garda Station told the court that CCTV footage showed the father of three throwing bricks, traffic cones and glass bottles at the Public Order Unit at Citywest.
Garda O'Brien said Mr Iafrate was also seen standing on a wall urging protesters to move further towards gardaí.
Judge Paula Murphy granted Mr Iafrate bail on a bond of €3,000 where €1,000 was to be lodged in cash.
She also instructed that Mr Iafrate must sign on daily at Rathcoole Garda Station and that any change of address is be notified.
Judge Murphy also put Mr Iafrate under curfew and said he is to be available on a mobile phone at all times, abstain from social media and not participate in any protests.
Judge Murphy remanded the 15 people facing public order charges on their own bail of €300 after they consented to conditions to stay away from Citywest and Saggart and all IPAS centres and not participate in violent protests.
They include: Tom McMechan, aged 66, with an address at Russell Place, Tallaght; Sean Comerford, aged 23, of Sheehy Skeffington Meadows, Tallaght; Bridget Cash, aged 21, of Boot Road, Clondalkin; Karl Burke, aged 34, of Deselby Crescent, Tallaght; Joseph Cox, aged 18, of Gortlar Avenue, Jobstown, Tallaght; John Cox, aged 58, of Corrig Glen, Station Road, Portarlington, Co Laois; and Bartosz Jaroszewski, aged 18, of Park Lane, Maryborough, Portlaoise, Co Laois.
The others charged include: David Noonan, aged 51, of New Oak Estate, Carlow; Evan Lydon, aged 23, of Caislean Oir, Athenry, Co Galway; Mircea Varga, aged 38, of Harrington Street, Dublin 8; Ashley McNally, aged 19, of Marian Grove, Rathfarnham; Evan Freeman, aged 23, of Drumcairn Green, Tallaght; Mark Farley, aged 44, of Tallaght Stone Centre, Belgard Road, Tallaght; Eamon Cox, aged 29, of Gortlar, Drumcorra Avenue, Dublin 24; and Peter O'Malley, aged 18, of Monastery Walk, Clondalkin.
