The jury in the trial of Richard Satchwell has gone home for the night and will resume its deliberations in the morning.
Mr Satchwell, who is 58, has denied murdering his wife Tina in March 2017.
Her remains were found buried under the stairs in their home in Youghal in Co Cork in October 2023.
The seven women and five men have so far spent four hours and 42 minutes considering their verdict.
Mr Satchwell pleaded not guilty to the murder of Ms Satchwell, between 19 and 20 March 2017, at their home in Youghal.
He reported her missing on 24 March 2017. Her body was found buried under the stairs at their home in October 2023.
Deliberations began yesterday in a trial which began at the end of last month and heard evidence from around 50 witnesses.
