A jury has been sworn in for the trial of Richard Satchwell, who is accused of murdering his wife Tina eight years ago.
Seven women and five men have been selected for the trial which will begin tomorrow morning and is expected to last around six weeks.
57-year-old Mr Satchwell, from Grattan Street in Youghal in Co Cork, has pleaded not guilty to murdering 45-year-old Tina Satchwell at the same address in March 2017.
Ms Satchwell, originally from St Bernard's Place in Fermoy, was reported missing on 24 March 2017.
Gardaí found her skeletal remains in October 2023, more than six years later, while excavating a concrete floor and walled-up area underneath the stairwell of the house at Grattan Street.
Before the jury was selected, potential jurors were told to ensure publicity surrounding the case to date would not affect their ability to deal with it objectively.

Mr Justice Kerida Naidoo told the panel of potential jurors that there had been "a certain amount of reporting" about the case and there was "nothing wrong with that" as court cases can be reported on fairly regularly.
However, he said, if potential jurors had heard anything about the case or had any difficulty in dealing with it objectively they should let him know.
He also told the jury panel they should not serve if they knew either the accused or the deceased, or had any connection with any of the witnesses in the case.
Around 100 witnesses are scheduled to give evidence in the trial.
