Two people have appeared in court charged with the murder of a 44-year-old man in Co Kerry earlier this year.
Kieran Brady, 35, from Athey, Co Limerick, was brought before Listowel District Court charged with the murder of Gerard 'Ger' Kennelly at Knockanure near Listowel.
The 44-year-old died after being injured in a stabbing in Knockanure on 27 May.
Detective Garda Tim Walsh gave evidence of charging Mr Brady this morning with Mr Kennelly's murder.
The court was told Mr Brady made no reply when cautioned.
His solicitor Pat Mann said an application for bail would be made in the High Court.
He was remanded in custody to appear via video link at Tralee District Court on 6 November.

Abigail Lynch, 22, of Woodview Place, Tarbert in Co Kerry, was also charged with the murder of Mr Kennelly.
Detective Sergeant Tommy Griffin, of Listowel Garda Station, gave evidence of arresting Ms Lynch and charging her at 5.09pm yesterday evening.
She made no reply after caution.
An application from the State to remand her in custody was granted by Judge David Waters, who also granted an application for free legal aid.
The judge said that given the charge he was not in a position to deal with a bail application.
The accused's solicitor, Padraig O'Connell, said he would be making an application to the High Court for bail.
Judge Waters remanded Ms Lynch in custody to appear again before Tralee District Court on 6 November.
He also directed that she receives any medical attention needed while in prison.
