A 48-year-old woman has been charged with the murder of a man in Ballyfermot in Dublin last year.
The body of David Ennis was discovered at an apartment in the Claddagh Court complex on 8 November 2022.
Ann Phelan, of no fixed abode, appeared at the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning.
Detective Sergeant Ronan McDermott told the court that Ms Phelan was arrested at Benburb Street in Dublin 7 at around 10pm last night.
He said she was taken to Clondalkin Garda Station where she was charged with the murder of David Ennis.
The court heard Ms Phelan made no reply when charged.
Det Sgt McDermott said the Director of Public Prosecutions has ordered a trial by indictment before the Central Criminal Court and he made an application for a one week remand in custody.
Defence solicitor Katie Dowling asked for a remand and said there will be an application for legal aid.
Judge Paula Murphy remanded Ms Phelan in custody to appear in court again next Thursday.
She said she did not expect the book of evidence to be ready and said a statement of means is needed for legal aid.
